About The Chef

Our Head Chef, James Russell, originally from Kilmainhamwood, Co. Meath, Ireland, has been cooking for the past five years both at home and abroad.

He has been with us since April 2011, bringing his valuable experience to The Corkman, having gained experience from working under a Michelin Star chef and also many other locally awarded chefs in Ireland.

He prides himself on bringing his Irish cooking background, from working in fine dining restaurants to time-honoured Irish Pubs and incorporating it with the fine local produce that Melbourne has to offer.

His new menu boasts the Aussie classics and traditional Irish fare with a modern twist.

Whether it is a light bite or a hearty meal, The Corkman caters for all tastes.
